For 80 years, voestalpine HPM Finland, previously Oy Uddeholm AB has been part of the development of the Nordic steel industry. The journey began in 1946 when Oy Suomen Bofors AB was founded as the first Swedish-owned subsidiary established in Finland after the war.
Over the years, the company has evolved, adapted, and grown stronger. An important new chapter began in 1986 when the company became Oy Uddeholm AB, with a renewed focus on what remains at the heart of its business today: high-quality specialty and wear-resistant steels.
Today, we celebrate eight decades of expertise, innovation, collaboration, and success. At the same time, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all employees, customers, and partners who have been part of this journey.
