Sustainability campaign – Uddeholm India

 
All steel production has an impact on the environment. This challenge is a driving factor in our market leading development for a more sustainable industry.

Uddeholm should be the obvious choice for environmentally conscious customers. With an objective to contribute in preserving and promoting the environment, the Uddeholm team in India takes pledge to plant a tree for every ton of the new Uddeholm Orvar Supreme 16J/12ft-lbs sold. They will be conducting the tree plantation activity at the end of each quarter of the current fiscal year in various locations across India. On July 30th 2021 Uddeholm India partnered with a local urban nonprofit forestry department, to plant 200 trees for the quarter April-June, in the barren landscape near old Mumbai-Pune highway, India.

The next tree plantation drive for the Q2 will be conducted in October in the South India region followed by the North India region for Q3 and then back to West India for Q4.
