June 21st – July 2nd was the 40th International Deep-Drawing Research Group Conference held from Stuttgart Germany. Due to the pandemic this year’s conference was virtual, which means all presentations were pre-record and available during the whole conference.
Uddeholm through Sebastian Sivertsen and Richard Oliver contributed with a scientific paper that also was presented: Die material properties needed for Hot Stamping of High Strength Sheet Materials. The paper present tool steel solutions from Uddeholm, which contains key properties within several fields of hot forming to increase production efficiency.
Conference participants during the session were around 250. The audience consisted of researchers from several Universities but also participants from companies within the fields of sheet material manufacturing, sheet forming and the European automotive sector.
