Holder is a free machining chromium-molybdenum alloyed steel which is supplied prehard condition ( generally 28-32 HRC). Holder is characterized by having excellent machinability, good resistance to indentation and uniform hardness in all dimensions. This material can be used for support plates, holder/bolsters for plastic molds and die casting dies, as well as plastics and rubber molds with low requirements on polishability.
