Webinar – Next Generation Tool Steel and Additive Manufacturing for the Plastics Industry

This webinar focuses on advancements in stainless tooling materials, in particular the versatility of high hard stainless steel. Patricia Miller, Director of Technical Services, Uddeholm North America, reviewes the benefits of and new possibilities in combining toughness, polishability, corrosion and wear resistance with high hardness up to 58 HRC. The value of using a steel with a matrix-based microstructure to achieve a high-gloss surface with only a few steps, while still maintaining high hardness is also discussed.

One of the latest technologies is additive manufacturing. With Uddeholm’s internal production sites, we are developing additive powders specific for the mold industry. We can deliver powders to our customers for their printing needs—or in combination with their voestalpine printing centers, Uddeholm can print finished components. Uddeholm will also present our Corrax grade that offers unique benefits for AM molding applications.

Please join the Uddeholm USA Director of Technical Services Patricia Miller to learn about the Uddeholm grades that have been specifically developed to address and refine the needs of the evolving plastics industry, as well as how the Uddeholm global technical team supports the design, manufacture and production issues facing the plastics industry today.
