APEXEM in China concludes great success

APEXEM in china concludes great success and a bright future with the Uddeholm Vanadis 8, large sizes in Uddeholm Dievar for HPDC, and AM as a disruptive technology for the mold making industry in the asia pacific region.

84 salespeople, sales/marketing managers, and technical managers met in Xiamen, a port city on China’s southeast coast for a 2 days Technical meeting and exchange about latest developments, new products, segment & application knowledge, so as to facilitate growth strategies for the new year.

The interactive program encompassed topics such as additive manufacturing, follow up on Vanadis 8 Launch, latest developments on extra-large Dievar blocks, market development on hot stamping, competitor analysis, success cases, plenty of time for networking and sharing, and much more.

A key results or conclusions from the two-day meeting are:

  • Sales development and growth in ASSAB China regions are really encouraging, especially the top three giants ASSAB Ningbo, ASSAB Shanghai and ASSAB Dongguan.  We could expect more and more contributions coming from China operations in the next several years within ASSAB Pacific group.
  • The initial two-month sales of Vanadis 8 SuperClean after launch in China shows a very bright future and we are deeply confident that the new grade will support and contribute our PM sales to a new record high in the new finance year 2017/18.
  • With the success of developing the Big Block Dievar by Uddeholm, ASSAB will continue to be a step ahead of the competitors and lead the market in automotive HPDC dies.
  • The emerging of hot stamping for automotive structure parts, creates another huge opportunity for us to conquer the markets by our unique and unparalleled products Dievar, QRO-90 and Unimax.
  • As always, more than 50 convinced success cases from various segments were presented which approves again that not only the product itself, but the soft knowledge or know-how is the back stone for ASSAB behind the success.
  • Last but not least, we can’t agree more with our guest speaker from Trumpf that AM (3D printing and laser cladding) will make the disruptive change in future mold making industry.
