Uddeholm Vidar 1 ESR

- The latest addition to the Uddeholm product programme for plastic moulds

The new product Uddeholm Vidar 1 ESR is especially suitable for big moulds with need for high surface finish, polished or etched.
Larger tools require material with excellent hardenability to achieve a high degree of toughness after heat treatment. Uddeholm Vidar 1 ESR is easy to machine and achieves a good toughness in heat treated condition, resulting in more safety against unexpected failures.

Uddeholm Vidar 1 ESR fulfils the requirements for a premium
W Nr 1.2343 and is available from stock up to 1000x500 mm cross section.
The addition of Uddeholm Vidar 1 ESR completes the Uddeholm product programme for big moulds.           

The other grades are:

Uddeholm Mirrax ESR
The corrosion resistant mould steel that meets demands for larger and tougher moulds, especially in environments where corrosion resistance is a requirement.  

Uddeholm Nimax
The prehardened mould steel supplied at ≈40 HRC, with excellent machinability, good structure and low amount of inclusions.
 
Uddeholm Impax Supreme
The well known mould steel supplied at ≈34 HRC, with even hardness through the dimension, fulfilling the requirements for a premium
W Nr 1.2738.
