Historic victory - Jari-Matti Latvala winner of Uddeholm Swedish Rally 2008
Aged 22 years and 10 months, Finn Jari-Matti Latvala is the youngest driver to win a round of the World Rally Championship.
Latvala with codriver and fellow countryman Miikka Anttila cruised home easy - on slushy snow - the final day of the rally to beat his Ford team mate Mikko Hirvonen by nearly one minute.
Next year Rally Norway takes it’s place as the snow rally of the season, the Swedish being back on the calendar for 2010, hopefully with more cold, snow and ice…
